Debt Support
The Trust is currently in partnership with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) and began employing a debt centre manager in 2020.
CAP provides free debt help and local community groups across the UK. The charity’s free services, run with local churches, provide practical and emotional support and show people that there is always hope.
Life Skills
In 2022 we recruited a CAP Life Skills Manager and Debt Coach, and a CAP Life Skills Coach, to enable us to run Life Skills courses. This is a well-established CAP programme that supports people on low incomes in particular, teaching and empowering people to manage life's challenges better, enabling them to come into community, and learn money saving techniques such as working out a food budget and managing home energy bills. How can you help?

Please pray regularly for the work and outreach of the debt centre. Consider becoming a befriender or joining the prayer group. Could you volunteer at the cafe or make cake/biscuits for it? Do you have clothes or children’s books and toys in good condition that you could donate?

If you would like to become a befriender or subscribe to the newsletter written by our Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre Manager, please email info@thehopetrustoxford.org.
